Our Review

Arguably one of the best hotels in Barcelona, the 1898 often outperforms five star hotels. In the few years it has been open, it has managed to build an excellent reputation. Its location on the Ramblas is ideal, and there is good range of facilities (rooftop pool and spa). The hotel facilities are so opulent some guests may never want to leave the hotel!

clean... our room had no outside view... the rooms had very little natural light... Can be noisy request back room... We stayed in a standard room which was big enough... Shower great.... We asked for a high floor and a quiet room as we were worried about the noise and this was fine.... If possible avoid the room we had this time which was no. 205... For a more enjoyable stay, choose a bigger room or ask for a higher floor fof more daylight.... The room was a tad small but you do not spend that much time in it. ... Stayed in Priviledge room for 3 nights. Good sized room with sitting area ( no patio)Decor lovely and fabulous bathroom. Stayed for an extra night in a classic double, much smaller than the priviledge, but still nice and included a small patio... We had a room on the 5th floor. It had no view, but was quiet and we slept well.... rooms on the small side but very well appointed... Our room on the 5th floor was spotlessly clean and extremely quiet. The room was slightly smaller than I had expected, but the attention to detail in the rooms is great (mood lighting, choice of pillow softness, lovely products in bathroom etc)... spotlessly ... The rooms are small but well presented. We stayed in a classic room so maybe a superior room would be bigger....
